With telehealth services, you can have video sessions with your therapist without leaving home or office. All you need is a good internet connection, a device with audio/video, and a space where you can talk privately. Telehealth occurs over a HIPPA compliant platform that can be used on most smartphones, computers or tablets.

Telehealth works similarly to regular counseling sessions. It is also an option to alternate between in-person sessions and telehealth sessions.

This service can be helpful if you live in a rural area or where counseling providers are limited. Perhaps you have challenges that make it difficult to get to an office in-person. Utilizing telehealth services can eliminate transportation time, freeing up space in your schedule. As a licensed provider in Kansas and Missouri, I am able to provide services to individuals in both states.

There may be circumstances when Telehealth is not appropriate.

These circumstances may include (but are not limited to):

• Intense thoughts of self-harm or suicidal ideation
• Severe Cases of Trauma
• Trauma Flashbacks
• Early weight restoration from an Eating Disorder and unable to meet with an RD in-person regularly.
